Integrated Environmental Solutions Limited’s (IES) < Virtual Environment > building simulation software suite has been selected by multi-disciplinary practice, Stantec. Stantec, which has 50 offices across North America and the Caribbean, will initially install the software at its headquarters in Vancouver, and is looking to roll it out to its other offices.

Encompassing both architectural and engineering disciplines, Stantec is widely known in the North American market. This move represents an important reference site for the software in the market, and demonstrates recognition of how the product is being accepted and implemented internationally.

Stantec’s choice of the IES sends out a clear message to the North American market of the capability of the software in meeting its demands. Providing professional design and consulting services, the company can be involved in all phases of a construction project’s life cycle and had already been using building performance software in its projects. However, it decided that IES’s was a superior product and could better meet its needs. It is currently evaluating the entire product suite.

Dr. McLean, founder and CEO, of IES said: “This is a very exciting opportunity for us, both as a validation of the technical capability offered by our products in this market and because Stantec is a major player in the North American construction industry, and beyond.”

Paul Marmion, Managing Principal, Buildings Group of Stantec Consulting Limited added: “We are looking forward to building on the relationship we have developed with IES, and we have already used IES’s to assist our design on a number of interesting projects.“
